There
are about 10 months before the Tokyo Olympic Games open in August 2020.
I
walked around the site of the New National Stadium. The stadium will be used
for the opening and closing ceremonies as well as for truck and field competitions
in the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The
stadium is now under construction. It is scheduled to complete in November.
I
walked the “Stadium Street” from the Tokyo Metro Gaien-mae station.
It
is about 500 meters from the station to the stadium. There is a rugby stadium, as
well as a baseball stadium along the street. There are also shops, museums and
other facilities.
People
took photos of the stadium from an open space in front of the Olympic museum.
A
big Olympic mark is placed there.
