Ume Festival @Umegaoka: Feb. 11, 2023

It is still cold, but the sunlight is getting brighter in Tokyo.

The Ume (Japanese apricot) Festival started on Feb. 11 at Hanegi Park in Umegaoka, Setagaya City, western Tokyo.

The festival was totally or partially cancelled in the last three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is the first festival in four years.

The park has about 600 ume trees.

The flowers were not fully open today, the first day of the festival. Still, some trees have white and pink flowers.

There were many visitors there. I found Chinese, American and other foreign people.

Open-air shops of tableware and other ceramic products were open at Umegaoka Station quite near from the park. It is a part of the festival.

The festival will continue about a month.
